Cox bay surf
Spent a few days exploring the beach in November in both sunny and cloudy weather at Cox Bay on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
While walking the beach I noticed that the sound would rise and fall rather noticeably, almost as if someone was playing with the volume control. The higher/brighter sound of the waves seems to be the water receding after stretching way up the sandy beach. When no waves made it up the beach for a spell the lower/deeper sound was the surf crashing in the deeper waters away from the beach and sand. I think you can hear some of that in the recording.
