hemer Provincial Park

Recordings from the trail through the peaceful second growth forest at Hemer Provincial Park in early spring 2022.

1. Bird sounds – Common Yellowthroat, Common Raven, Red-winged Blackbird (faintly)

2. Frog Chorus with Bird sounds – Flicker, Hairy/Downy Woodpecker, Geese, Robin – finishes with slightly creepy sound. Tree creaking? Frogs? (also there’s a plane)

3. Creek – still working on finding whether it has a name or not. There’s also a creature making an alarm-like sound. Squirrel? Bird?

4. Frog Solo (joined by another towards the end) and a Chickadee

This was our second visit to Hemer Provincial Park. Last time we explored the trails through the forested areas around Holden Lake. This time, we explored the marshy lake on the right of the main entrance trail, enjoying the bird songs and frog chorus of a marshland in spring.
